An authentic, highly rare vintage Swiss Reuge Sainte-Croix continental silver-plated musical table cigarette humidor or jewelry box, meticulously crafted in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland during the mid-20th century.
The structural frame features an elegant rectangular molding with tiered geometric profiling. The hinged lid opens to reveal a clean original natural cedar wood interior lining. This exceptional premium piece features a built-in mechanical Swiss musical movement manufactured by Reuge, complete with its original stamped "REUGE STE-CROIX" winding key on the bottom. The inside of the heavy metal lid showcases a magnificent engine-turned perlage (circular graining) guilloche finish that reflects light beautifully.
Please note that this genuine Swiss musical box is in excellent working condition. The internal mechanical music movement operates flawlessly, and the steel comb is 100% intact with absolutely no missing teeth, playing the melody with clear and brilliant acoustics. There are two minor, small cosmetic dents on the outer metal side panel (clearly highlighted in the detail photograph), which is consistent with age and adds true historical character.
